2026 NCLEX Crash Course Notes: The Ultimate High-Yield Study Guide
Share
Hey, future nurse! I want to share something personal with you. Why I created the 2026 NCLEX Crash Course Notes and how they became the ultimate high-yield study guide I wish I had when I was preparing for my NCLEX.
My NCLEX Journey: Overwhelmed and Stressed
I remember the exact moment it hit me. I was sitting at my desk, surrounded by mountains of notes, textbooks, and practice questions. My study planner was a mess, and my brain was fried from trying to cram every little detail about lab values, pharmacology, and prioritization.
The NCLEX felt like an impossible mountain to climb. I was constantly second-guessing myself: am I studying the right things? what if I fail? why is everyone saying SATA questions are so hard?
I needed something simple, concise, and straight to the point. A study guide that would cut through the fluff and give me ONLY the information I needed to pass. But I couldn't find one. So I decided to create it.
How These Crash Course Notes Were Born
I started by going through hundreds of NCLEX questions, breaking down the patterns in the most frequently tested topics. I highlighted all the areas the NCLEX loves to ask about: prioritization, delegation, lab values, medication calculations, and critical thinking.
Then I used every trick I knew to make the information stick: mnemonics to simplify complicated topics (hello, VEAL CHOP for fetal heart rate), bullet points to eliminate the overwhelming paragraphs, and quick-reference tables to make reviewing on-the-go effortless.
I tested these notes on my friends who were also struggling with NCLEX prep, and they all said the same thing: this is exactly what I needed. That's when I knew I had to share this with other nursing students.
What Is Inside
Test-taking strategies. Prioritization and delegation, the absolute most-tested NCLEX topic. Pharmacology with toxic drug levels, black box warnings, and must-know antidotes. Lab values and ABGs (electrolytes, ROME rule, cardiac biomarkers). Medication calculations (dosage formulas, IV flow rates, infusion rates). Maternity and newborn (stages of labor, fetal heart rate, postpartum emergencies). Med-Surg high-yield topics (heart failure, strokes, diabetes DKA vs HHS). Psych and therapeutic communication (what to say in mental health scenarios).
This guide covers it all without the fluff.
Perfect for Last-Minute Review
I designed this guide so you could review everything in just a few hours before your exam. Imagine being able to quickly skim the most important content, feel confident walking into the test center, and apply critical thinking skills effortlessly to avoid trick questions.
